Counselling sessions are typically 60 minutes. However, if 30 or 90 minute sessions meet your needs in a more effective way, this can be arranged and the cost adjusted accordingly.
Fees
An initial consultation of 30 minutes is provided free of charge.
Cost per 60 minute session is $124.00 (HST included). I find it most helpful if payment is made at the beginning of the session as it is a good way to begin to focus on the work at hand. I also suggest that you have your payment ready prior to the beginning of the session in order to save time. I will provide you with a receipt.
Many extended health plans will reimburse clients for the costs of counselling provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor. We recommend calling your plan provider to ensure coverage and any annual dollar limits, as it has been our experience that the print material provided to plan members is often incomplete.
Sunwood Counselling requires full 24 hour notification of cancellation of appointments. Notification of less than 24 hours is deemed a $45.00 charge. No advance notice of cancellation is charged the full session fee. Consideration will be given for extra ordinary circumstances.
The cost of processing an NSF cheque is 35¢. The writing of reports and letters is charged on a per hour basis.
Payment can be made in cash, personal cheque, or VISA.
If you are ever unhappy with the services provided, I more than welcome your feedback and will be happy to negotiate appropriate remuneration.
